Aurum is a virtual reality game developed in Unity, designed to offer an engaging and educational experience that teaches players about medieval alchemy. The project is a collaboration between Studio X, the University of Rochester’s hub for Extended Reality, and the Robbins Library, the university’s medieval research library.
As the coding team lead, I contribute directly to the codebase while overseeing a team of four XR Specialists. Being able to work on a game like this with a team has been a dream come true.
If you're interested in the project, you could check out the video trailer for Aurum at RIT's 2024 Frameless Showcase, or come to Studio X in person and ask to try the game out!
